Why this exists
We have a bit of an art obsession - not because we studied it, and not because we know the right names to drop - just because it moves something in us.
But most of the art world isn't built for that. It's built for contemporary collectors with contemporary-collector budgets, and if you don't have that, it's easy to feel like you're not really allowed in the room - like you need to say the right things, or understand a certain depth just to be let in.
We don't think that's true. Sometimes you love a piece because you love it, or you want to ask questions and learn more about an artist. Sometimes you need some help finding the right style for your home, but aren't sure where to look within your budget.
What we actually wanted was hard to find: limited-edition print series, and new, independent artists selling original work at prices that don't require a second income. No single place collected that. So we started keeping track ourselves - and this is that list.
A note on Found: this isn't a formal gallery (that's the dream), and we don't represent these artists in any official capacity - it's simply a running collection of work and artists we love, within our realistic budgets, so living with this art is not just a pipedream.
Every artist here was chosen because the work is real and the prices are honest: mostly under $500, nearly everything under $1,000. You don't need the right vocabulary. You don't need a reason beyond liking it. There's something for everyone here. Need help finding your style? Reach out.
